What Mi Fit have you used before installing a new one?

That's because you haven't upgraded resources to new version. You can install new Mi Fit version, it will upgrade resources automatically. After that you can install this custom French firmware.

I don't know) I haven't disassembed the current Mi Band 3 to compare it's internals. What I definitely can say, is that Global variant won't have NFC.
