Question How to convert emoji from notification to symbols/emoji in band?

I am receiving a notification like this

: Pout_kiss:
But not the emoji or symbol. I am just using gadgetbridge. I tried checking the enable emoticon in gadget bridge but itseems to have a problem that it only shows a box not the emoticon (;*). How to fix? Is there a solution without help of other apps that cause battery drain? Thankyou!
