Nope mate if you install everything from playstore its ok to off but if you download files from other websites or chrome you must use play protect (or) you should use a paid security app 😉 im using without it without play protect for years but
Here's a tip use second space or private space in your phone if you have a doubt that it's a virus 🙂🙃

There are loads of apps thousands even that are not ok to install on the play store... They are not checked like crapple do before apps go on their store..
