Will the update notification still work after installing a custom firmware? Of course i won't get a e.g. german update for my german firmware - but will i be notified and/or will i get automatic updates (in chinese)? Or do i have to check here all the time if a new firmware is available?

First of all - thanks for the firmware and translation! I did flash it right when i got the band so i don't know if the chinese firmware can display smileys in messages. I think it may be totally normal to see the question mark instead of smileys because there maybe isn't the correct resource...
