The evaluation of the parameters of both versions is subjective and informative only.
Firmware uses the same firmware for both versions.

Mi band 3 Global Version (Mili_wuhan)

* Processor: Dialog DA14681, is the same for both versions.
* Memory: GigaDevice Semic., Serial Flash GD25LQ32 32Mbit (4MB), is the same for both versions.
* Hardware version is: v0.18.4.1 (PCB layout is the same for both versions, there are different mounting options for SMD components on PCB - assembly variant on the PCB).
* Target sales region: Global Version
* Default language is English.
* Code Name of HW: Mili_wuhan is the same for both versions.
* The OLED display:
- has a cold-white display LED, compared with the China version.
- touch screen sensitivity is the same for both versions.
* Photoelectric heart rate sensor:
- It contains a different type of the sensor compared with the China version.
- The auxiliary LEDs for the sensor, work at a different frequency compared with the China version.
- Measurement time for heart rate measurement and accuracy range of the measured value is the same for both versions.

Oled displays have different collor temperature because of the manufacturing process. IT is hard to make exact same Display. Even Samsung has specialisied calibrating processes. Rest is nicely written

three samples from each version and display have the same shade. It seems to be a different type or other production series of OLED displays.

It's simple, part of ROM, where bluetooth address is defined, etc.

For clarification, the version ID is in ROM and if the language of the phone is not included in the Firmware, it will be used as the default language for that version.

There is a little mistake. Where you say regarded to China version "has a warm-white display LEDs, compared with the China version" you should say "compared with the Global version".

My band is China version with HW V0.18.3.6. There are no differences with yours.

Yes. Based in your description and photos the possible differences should be internal components.

Mostly difference in software optimization. Oleds have different tone since its hard to manufacture OLED screens.

Interesting, they should also write a hardware (HW) version number :-(

i got better battery time on global version, on CN was about five days with constant HR measure, now i get up to 7days

Does that mean that you can never convert a CN version to Global fully?

I have a CN version and I always flash modded FW from here manually, but wish to buy another one as a gift for someone who is not tech savvy at all and I don't want to babysit their bracelet. I just want them to be able to install the stock MiFit app from the Play Store, have the bracelet in English by default (if their phone language is not supported by the FW) instead of Chinese and get regular updates.

Should I just go for global then or is there way to convert it after all?

Hi, right now there is no way to convert version CN to global version.

Note: But this is technically possible, but you need to edit the ROM portion outside of FW, including for example the BT address as well as the CN / global version.
