Well yes its the 1S so its more of a hardware bump than a feature set bump. Technology/ manufacturing has likely improved so a new generation of device was possible but its not a ful generation upgrade. Pretty neat and means we will get a better device now!

The Hey+ has definitely influenced the Mi Band line seen with the Band 4.
Not only is it pressuring Xiaomi to improve their smart bands, the partnership probably means some elements can be shared directly so both bands will improve a lot!

Some features have actually improved like AliPay has been upgraded to offline payment support. Its oriented more to the Chinese market but we might get improvements to things like the NFC usage.
