I assume no one has partnered with them for NFC payments. The most widely known is Google Pay and they are very strict about security.

Samsung and others have their own devices so they won't partner.

So China is their main market for NFC.

Global has more languages and is certified for EU etc
Chinese version is certified for China and most likely will be English and Chinese (no guarantees maybe only China but that's what custom firmware is for).

You'll get the Chinese one earlier because global hasn't been announced yet.

i was promised by a contact of this seller, that those are actually the global version and they are in stock. i assume they got a bunch of the Chinese version and flashed global firmware? i don't see any other explanation for this

I might have been wrong about release.

Mi SMART (name change) Band 4 is coming soon in Europe (June 26th) retailing at €35. Which is a big hike from the CN version.
Sellers must be getting both types of bands
