Question notification problem

Is it normal that after each notification received on the band the last 2 seconds switch automatically to the watch face? Shouldn't the band just display the notification message and turn off the screen without switching to the watch face?
I find this behaviour odd, running latest mi fit and fw 1.8 on the mb3.

It's normal yes ^^.

This is not standard behaviour, on a youtube video it shows the screen goes blank after notification - check this out

Was this a change in the newer firmwares?

It's only with two firmwares, 1.6.0.19 and 1.8.0.0.
