does we must root phone to get unique key?
Yes, but getting a unique key is one-time, so you can do it on another phone that has a Root. You then enter the key in GaderBridge. The unique key will not change for your Mi Band 4 until you perform a hard reset on you Mi Band 4 and the Bluetooth MAC address changes. The unique key is obtained from the Bluetooth MAC address, when someone comes to encrypt the Bluetooth MAC address on the unique key, it will be possible to generate the unique key from Bluetooth MAC address without Root.

Thank you for your involvement in solving the problem. (y)
Done it...... Unencrypt phone (turn passwords off and fingerprint) install twrp for your device (Google instructions very simple) once installed boot to new recovery (you have root in recovery) go to advanced, file manager, then browse to the databases and copy all 3 origin files to /root/sdcard

boot phone back to system install the first database editor you see on the play store, direct it to the copied origin files... Once database open look for DEVICE click it scroll on a bit and you'll see AUTHKEY that is what you want for gb

I took the authentication code as you suggested, and my device is Mi Band 4.
Goto Bluetooth on your phone click the mi band and then click forget, and try again. Did you add 0x to the key?
Edit... Just to add if you have AUTHKEY then I'm probably not the best person to ask as I haven't really used GB, I just wanted to prove root wasn't needed to acquire the key ?
