Question Is MI BAND 5 will come with SPO2 Sensor in India?

there was a rumour of mi band 5 5 coming in india with spo2 sensor
but there was not any confirmation also
band is launch globally but the shipping from china is banned
so i want to start a conversations about mi band 5 with spo2 sensor

According to me Mi Band 5 will not have sp02 sensor.here's why:-

None of the Mi band 5 versions talk about having sp02 sensor.

Also there is no feature mentioning about sp02 in the release video.

And about shipping from china, it is the company's matter. Maybe Xiaomi India will start manufacturing MB5 in India itself for making band available in India.

so according to me, MB5 will not have sp02 sensor, but Amazfit band 6 will have

Some Xiaomi stores told their customers that SPO2 may come with a firmware update (like honor band 5), I read that in another thread here. But the safest bet is to go for the amazfit band 6

According to me, sp02 cannot be added with firmware update because for that the band should have an sp02 sensor(by default). If no sp02 sensor then there will be no sp02 feature in mi band 5. If xiaomi decides to have sp02 sensor and keep it disabled and make it avaliable with an update then there are chances. But anyways according to Mi Bands 5 & Amazfit Bands | All versions | GeekDoing amazfit band 6 has sp02.

The fact is that a photoplethysmogram biosensor (such as the new one included in the MB5) can derive SPO2 metrics, i.e.:
- Current progress of photoplethysmography and SPO2 for health monitoring
- Measurement of arterial oxygen saturation (SpO<inf>2</inf>) using PPG optical sensor - IEEE Conference Publication

I just think that it's hard to efficiently and accurately implement those metrics, and make them robust to biological noise such as movements, sweat, etc.., so they may want to charge for this feature (with a "pro" version at higher price?)
