That I don't believe. Doesn't make sense from marketing perspective to not officially put that on the package. And I would never buy a product that promises features after software update.

Me too.
That's why I watch this thread daily ?
In Czech eshop I was told EXACLY the same thing, but I highly doubt their source legitimacy... Won't risk buying it, realizing there won't be update to enable it, see PRO model come out and then be unable to resell the non-NFC MB5 for good price.

There was nothing interesting about Mi Band 5, all said is all we already know. Global version launched is same as CN ^^.

they already announced the global variant. no even a word about global nfc support. they just lied when officially leaked the info on twitter.

I don't see the point of implementing new devices in their apps if it's not to announce them. Also, if they already implemented them, they should have prototypes to test the app. If they announce new devices, it should be before than a year from now ahahah

Some are saying that REM Sleep and Stress Modes are already using SPO2 sensor in addition to HR Monitoring, even if we don't have a direct SPO2 app, is this true?

I'm finding this weird.. Just received the Mi Band 5 Europe edition, and when I attempted to pair it with the mi fit app, the device is called "Mi Smart Band 5 NFC". What is that all about? Did they forgot to rename the device?
