Introduction​

This thread contains modified English firmware for displaying the "Fine Font". The "Fine Font" is the default font for English firmware. The firmware also contains modifications (listed below).

yes, there may be more than 16 notifications. But it is not used, they are badly read by a larger number of notifications. Fair value is 16 notifications.

And 16 notifications is tested, more notifications can by problem with stability MB3.

Weather messages are generated by the App to which the MB3 is connected. The Firmware version can only cause incorrect display of letters in these messages. The message language is based on the current language of the phone, or you can choose another language in some App.

I will try to describe the entire situation. Have purchased a Mi Band 3 with Chinese firmware. As far as I know, Mi Band takes phone's language, and if it's not available switches to default. So once I have connected to my Galaxy, it has pulled English version, once I have connected to my iPhone, it switched back to Chinese because the phone was in Romanian. Have downloaded then fw and res files and installed them. English became default Band language, so once connected to the Romanian device, is staid in English.

The only issue, is when I swipe and get to the weather section, it still has hieroglyphics.

MB3 remembers weather reports after flash firmware. You have to wait for the Weather messages to be updated.

Updates based on personal experience and feedback from users on the forum can take several hours. It depends on what App you are using and what location is saturned for the weather.

20h passed since I flashed the firmware but I still see Chinese letters. Tried to update the city to force the app get new data, but didn't help

How it looks? Still Chinese letters? This Firmware does not support special letters. For special letters, you must install UTF-8-enabled firmware, such as EN with UTF-8 support here Firmware 2.3.0.6 | Bold Font (EN, CZ, SK, PL, HU, TR) | Xiaomi Mi Band 3 | GeekDoing
Specifically, the Bond Font EN firmware with UTF-8: Mili_wuhan_2.3.0.6_mod-v03_bold_EN.zip

Still Chinese letters for the weather description ( cloudy, sunny, etc) - see images attached

I will try to flash an alternative firmware if no other solutions
