Discussion Xiaomi Mi Band 4 Official Firmwares

Latest stable firmware is v1.0.6.16. All versions after that are non-public beta with extra languages under testing. Arabic was added in beta v1.0.6.26 and removed in beta v1.0.7.10. It was never officially supported! I'm sure Huami had its reasons for removing it. So, until next official...

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

+1 for the new thread. (y) Don't forget that current thread was initially about hardware variants and not firmware versions! All firmware discussion here is really ...off-topic! ;)

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

Every version posted here is safe to use (or flash), but every flashing procedure (official or not) can be a little risky for the device. Of course the risk is minimal, so everyone would advise you to go with it!!! ;)

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

1.0.2.0? Are you sure? ? Can you send a picture of the"About" screen (More -> Settings -> About)? Is it a NFC or non-NFC version? Anyhow, did you try updating manually using Notify & Fitness?

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

The font file has been the same since the first firmware release. I wonder why it is dated 20190830... ? Thank you for the firmware. It's the first time you give us the direct links from the huami servers!

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

Supported languages for non-NFC version, as reported in the MiFit log file, are: zh,en,es,ru,it,fr,de,id,pl,in There are more languages included but not activated, such as Greek, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, etc. Maybe some more improvement is needed for the complete support before releasing. There...

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

I had flashed font v2 with previews beta fw (v1.0.6.06 - same resources) using latest Notify & Fitness 8.13.1 (previous versions did not recognise it as flashable). The band asked for reconnecting with MiFit for reflashing font v1. Anyhow, AFAIK, font v2 is only for Korean and Japanese.

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

Just a comment: font version is still v1. Font v2 is not yet compatible with the new firmwares v.1.0.6+. I noticed that in the firmware list on the first page it is mentioned that the new firmwares are a set with font v2. :)

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

Honey, we're talking about public firmware v1.0.6.12 NOT non-public v1.0.6.06. Do you even read a thread before posting? :devilish:

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

New official firmware v1.0.6.12 with resources v62. Languages: zh,en,es,ru,it,fr,de,id,pl,in (from MiFit log) You must install MiFit v4.0.8 to auto-update and stay with this firmware version. If you have MiFit v4.0.7 or previous versions (re)installed then the band will downgrade to firmware...

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

The newest Notify & Fitness version 8.13.1 recognizes this file as a font and can install it to the band. Unfortunately the latest non-public firmware v1.0.6.06 is not compatible with it. It asks for running MiFit to reinstall the old font! Maybe a special firmware for the Korean and Japanese...

FW Mod International Firmware for Mi Band 4

This change must be applied to both firmware and resource files, so the answer is no. You have to wait for the official release or use custom translated resources.

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

I'm sorry but I cannot answer this question. I'm not familiar with this language nor its charset encoding. But AFAIK, Japanese Kanji, Chinese characters and Korean Hanja can be UTF-8 encoded. Also a special font is going to be released for Japanese and Korean.

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

It's UTF-8 Codepoint in HxD (if that's what you mean), but this editor only displays Windows ANSI charset and the resources are UTF-8. You can use wxMEdit for example to see the UTF-8 text, if you need a hex editor. Personally, just to view these files, I use the internal viewer of Total...

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

After looking in the language file of resources v60 (you can find the decompiled file here - 1502.dat) with a simple file viewer, I found the following included languages: Active languages - standard font: Chinese (zh), English (en) Active languages - latin font: French (fr), German (de)...

Tutorial How to check Hardware Variants (Mili_cinco / Mi Band 4 / Mi Smart Band 4) of the Mi Band 4

I had the same problem after updating Notify & Fitness to version 8.10+. Reverting back to version 8.9.8 solved that problem.
